1. Who we are

2. Scope
These terms apply to every offer on avwatches.be and to every distance contract between AV Watches and a consumer. They are available before you order and can be saved or printed. If specific product terms also apply and conflict with these terms, you may always rely on the provision that is most favourable to you.
3. Our offer
Each listing describes the watch as fully and accurately as possible, and photos show the actual watch for sale. All our watches are vintage and pre-owned: signs of age and use are part of their character and are described or visible in the photos. Obvious mistakes or errors in an offer do not bind us. Prices include VAT.
4. The contract
The contract is concluded when you place your order and complete payment. We confirm your order by email without delay. We may refuse an order or attach special conditions to it if we have good reason to do so, and will tell you why.
5. Right of withdrawal
You may cancel your purchase within 14 days after you, or a person you designated, received the watch, without giving a reason.
- During this period, handle the watch with care and only as you would in a shop to judge its nature, characteristics and functioning. You are liable for any loss in value caused by handling beyond that.
- Notify us within the 14 days by email or using the model withdrawal form (PDF).
- Return the watch within 14 days after your notification, with all accessories, in its original condition and packaging where reasonably possible. The direct cost of returning is for you, and the risk of the return shipment lies with you.
- We refund all payments, including the original standard shipping cost, within 14 days after we receive the watch back, using the same payment method unless you agree otherwise.
6. Prices
Prices shown on the website include VAT and are fixed for the duration of the offer, except for changes resulting from VAT rates.
7. Conformity and warranty
We guarantee that every watch matches its description and the reasonable expectations for a vintage watch of its age. Before it goes online, every watch is serviced and regulated.
Legal guarantee. As our watches are second-hand goods, the legal guarantee of conformity is one year from delivery. Please report a lack of conformity as soon as possible and in any case within two months of discovering it.
Our warranty covers the timekeeping and the functioning of the watch. A mechanical or automatic movement is considered to work correctly when it runs within about one minute a day. To keep a watch running reliably, we may use parts that differ from the original where this benefits its functioning.
Not covered: water damage, damage from a fall or knock (including glass and case), dirt inside the movement, and incorrect use. Water resistance is never guaranteed on vintage watches. See our warranty page for details.
8. Delivery
We dispatch within 2 working days after receiving your payment, fully insured, to the address you provide. If delivery is delayed or not possible, we inform you within 30 days of your order and you may cancel free of charge; we then refund you within 30 days. The risk of loss or damage remains with us until the watch is delivered to you.
9. Payment
Payment is made in full when ordering, through the payment methods offered at checkout, or by bank transfer on invoice. We ship once the payment has been received. Please let us know immediately if your payment details are incorrect. If an amount remains unpaid after a reminder and a further 14 days, statutory interest and collection costs of 10% of the outstanding amount (minimum €40) may be charged.
10. Complaints
Please send any complaint to info@avwatches.be, clearly described, as soon as possible after you notice the issue. We reply within 14 days. If more time is needed, we confirm receipt within 14 days and tell you when to expect a full answer. Please give us 4 weeks to resolve the matter together. You may also contact the Belgian Consumer Mediation Service (consumentenombudsdienst.be).
11. Applicable law
These terms and all contracts with AV Watches are governed by Belgian law.
12. Changes
We may update these terms. Changes only apply after publication on this page. If terms change during an ongoing offer, the provision most favourable to you applies.
