Rolex Datejust ref. 1601 ‘Taupe dial’

CONDITION REPORT
Rolex created the flagship Datejust in 1945, in celebration of the brands 40th Anniversary. The Datejust is just the perfect everyday watch. This particular reference 1601 with its white gold fluted bezel dates back to 1972. In my humble opinion, this is one of the coolest dials you can have on a 4 digits datejust. The taupe dial, sometimes referred to as lavender but I think it’s more grey. It’s literally cool in every lighting and a true conversations piece. (Buy it or I’m going to keep it ;)) Enough on the dial, oh no it also has has tritium plots and stick hands. The watch houses a cal 1570 automatic movement, which has been fully serviced. The stainless steel casing has not been polished by us and is still sharp. The watch has its original Rolex signed crown. The watch comes on an original Rolex Jubilee bracelet ref 62510h which is also very sharp for a folded bracelet from 1972, this gives the watch the ultimate look. It has been serviced by our watchmaker for correct accuracy and correct functioning.
